The word about Microsoft banning over 1,000,000 Xbox 360's spread very fast over the internet. Now Marc Whitten, Xbox Live general manager says that a million is an overestimated number.
Quote:XBL General Manager Marc Whitten is responsible for this "admission," in an interview with Venture Beat. Said Whitten, that number did not come from them, and that they never claimed to have eXx1l3d that much gamers from the XBL.

If you haven't heard of all this banning madness, this is the said consequences.

Wee never said wee had 1 million b a n n e d XBL accounts
On LIVE bans, possible ban causes, more
yeah I don't think its 1,000,000... there would of been much more rage.
lols yeah. The article said that the offices had a huge overload with teenagers calling crying over that they didn't know you weren't allowed to flash your console.
I think it would kinda go without saying, flashing a console is effectively playing pirated games; and Microsoft can't be seen allowing piracy to go on; so they ban flashed console users.

Another case of the Glorious PC-Gaming Master Race coming out ahead of the Console-Gaming Peasants.
