If many of you have read, my PSP was 'borrowed' about 2 months ago. Well I got it back today.
Here's the story:
I go to school today and walk into my English class. One of my friend's comes up to me and asks if he could get me to get some games and movies for "his" PSP. I tell I will. He tells me that "his" PSP is at home and will bring it tomorrow. He then tells me that he wants to know how to reset all of the settings and format the MS. I tell him how and everything. I asked him when he go this PSP and he feeds me some bullchocolate about how some guy gave it to him about two years ago for free. This is whne I started suspecting something.
Later, he comes up to me at lunch saying "Oh yeah, it was in my bag. I went ahead and reset everything so here." By now, I'm really suspicious. When I start looking through it, and find my 8 GB SanDisk MS and extended life batter. It also has the face plate with no SONY or PS logos, the d-pad is loose like mine was, the bar code is waring away just like mine, and the bar code under the battery from GameStop is still there. To see if it truly was mine, I used an NAND backup on it. It worked like a f
ucking charm. I even used an F0 backup. Still worked. It even had GEN-B on it which was the FW I had when it got 'borrowed'.
My problem is now how am I going to approach him? I'm really good friends with him and it's not he's gonna belive my "hacking mumbo-jumbo"....Meh. A swift kick in the nuts should suffice.
Wow....that's rawwww. How can you 'borrow' from a friend and then ask the person you 'borrowed' it from to get extra stuff for it. Wow.
What a dumb fuck for telling you about if he actually 'borrowed' it off you. If I were him, I'll pretend it never existed.
Did he actually 'borrow' it, or did you like leave it somewhere and he simply "found" it...
Depends on how "good friends" you are with him.... Anyway, you can always 'borrow' it back if there's no other options available (or 'borrow' something of equal or more value and forget about it).
Me, him, and a couple of my other friends always car pool to vocational school and I'm assuming that he either took it out of my pocket (I was wearing baggy cargo shorts that day) or it had fallen out of my pocket. I had asked everyone the next day if they had seen it and they all said no.

Meh...I'm just kinda glad that I got it back.
I dunno man. Just how good a friend are you with him? Does it shock you to think he would have done something like that? (and I mean seriously, would you have been completely surprised given his personality and all the good times you've had, etc). I don't know how I would approach something like that. He's got a lot of balls if he did straight up jack it, and then ask you for some help on it later.
tie him to a chair, point a bright light at him and ask questions until he cracks.
Don't worry I've got your back. If you need help just whistle and it'll be about 20 hours or so till I get there.
