I try watching a goddamn YouTube video, and when ever I scroll the page, the damn video lags like spoon. Is my computer a piece, or does YouTube just suck donkey.
I'm leaning towards the shittyness of YouTube.
Did you disable hardware acceleration?
EDIT: If your on win7.
nope, on XP. 2GHz dual core processor, 2GB of RAM, nVidia geForce 7150M, integrated.
I can run Half Life 2, so I should be able to watch a goddamn video.
Oh well try looking at your flash settings by right-clicking on the video, maybe try unticking something?

then blame youtube, i would.
HD? That may lag - Flash is known to be incredibly slow at video decoding. Don't use HD (it really doesn't look that much better than normal quality anyway) or download the file and play from there with a proper player.
it happens even with just regular. I figured it was something with Flash. the HTML5 <video> tags need to start being used.
Unfortunately, the <video> tag has heaps of problems right now.
However, if you're using Chrome, there's a GreaseMonkey script which I believe can turn the thing into a <video> element. Can't say if it's any faster however.
Check Firefoxes RAM usage.
If you've had the same browser window open for a while now, I recommend closing it, making sure its terminated in Task Manager, if not, terminate it, and reloading.
It should be better.
Firefox still has some severe memory leaking problems, I ended up with 1.2GB~ usage on 2 Tabs. Here and MAL... even at 500MB it starts lagging badly.
