Been playing the game for a few days and can say it become one of my favourites!

The story is somewhat complex but the narration is very simple and the characters are extremely likable. However, the thing that stands out the most is the art. The graphics makes you think you're in a painting (which suits the theme as the narration is from a book, lol).... Also, the Turn based action simulation has got me hooked to the game entirely...

So anyone else played it?
finished it last december (xmas time)
it's one of those rare unique rpg's that most gamers fail to recognize. it was released at the same time with resistance 2, so the game did not get popular much.
vc2 is coming on psp by the way.
i think skydx played it also.
Yeah.... A good game lost in the hype of a bigger brand..... :(
sega fail at marketing. =/
absolutely love this game
but yea its largely unknown to most people
isn't this a turn based game?

i could never really get into those...
its an odd mix of turn based real time
its rather unique and well worth trying
Pretty good but strategy is nearly non-existent on a lot of maps once you get Scout Elites and Shocktrooper Elites (Grenade Launchers and Flamethrowers). All you really need besides those are a single Engineer (Don't bother with two, Shamrock is useless) and maybe a single Sniper too.

Most annoying thing about the game though is using Lancers. Lancers are great... if they can actually hit something. Once you get the Anti-Armor order, there's no need to use a Lancer (Save maybe the final battle) since a Shocktrooper does a FAR FAR better job at disposing those tanks then those godforsaken Lancers. Whenever possible I myself avoid using them. Sneaking behind tanks is not very hard.

Story is okay though. Not on the same level as the Ogre Battle games though. Too much personal dealings not enough grit on the actual political warfare.
I hardly use the Order function.... should really use it!
