Endless Paradigm

I'd like to start of with saying, no. I am not a noob. I just cannot get this plugin working even though I've got it working before.

My problem is concerning Game Categories v9 by Bubbletune that was released a few days ago.
I've put the correct line in VSH.txt, put the PRX in ms0:/seplugins and enabled it. I've "rebooted" my PSP by going into CFWenabler and exiting causing the XMB to refresh.
(Yes, I am using ChickHEN. Have got TA-88v3 :(

My problem is that the option allowing me to choose category mode that's supposed to come up in System Settings after a reboot never comes up. I've tried disabling all plugins, including any custom themes to get the option working.

Me not being able to configure it equals no config.bin in PSP/GAME.
My question is, can someone figure out the problem. I couldn't :-/
Or even easier, upload your config file here. I want to use the mode with photo album icons within the memstick icon. lol idk what the mode is called but looks awsum.

what version of cfe do you use? i think its better if you use it in 5.03gen-b, maybe v9 for gamecategories plugin is more compatible with GEN than the one with MHU

that mode is called content browser, just like in the folders in Photo and video icons

and by the way, that mode lags in my psp, as i have 14 folders in my GAME icon in xmb, even setting xmb cpu speed to 333 don't help, still i uses Multiple ms mode

14 folders?!?  That's like almost as many apps as I have all up.  I generally use something like 4 folders "CFW Related Tools", "Games", "General Apps", "Emulators".


As for your problem, I don't have a PSP that would require me to CFE, so I can't help you.  Works perfectly here on 5.00M33.

ive miscalculated, only 11 folders, lol

yeah i always categorize my apps and games depend on which kernel do they run, and my psp games sorts by genre, so that takes so many folders, lol

anyway i haven't cleaned up my memstick so its still 11 folders

pretty sure you are better to be in 5.03gen-b

if you have doubts, try using v7 or v8 (both of those I know work in mhu on 5.03) to see if it works then choose your adventure from there.

poo poo. I'm using CFWe 3.60. Plus I don't have the guts to install GEN knowing it might fudge up my PSP. From what I've heard, even if you properly uninstall CFWe and try to install GEN you'll mess it up.

So, I'll use my very own thread to ask, is that really true? Anyone tried removing CFWe and installing GEN? GEN seems to be trying harder... No offense you CFWe guys lol

hmm ive tried shutting down with CFEnabler 3.60 installed then, booting psp then create HEN then patching 5.03gen-b then no problems whatsoever, the only bug ive seen in game categories v9 in 5.03gen-b is that the icons inside category folder still shows up in Uncategorize folder in XMB, wee never experienced it when wee are in v7-8
