Sony has blamed the PS3 for the limited amount of titles available on the PSP. Sony Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida claimed that Sony has put too much focus on PS3 titles which caused a slow down in PSP titles. However he commented that the problem has been sorted out.
The PSP may finally be getting a good run of games with title like Beaterator, LittleBigPlanet and GTA Chinatown Wars but it wasn’t always the case. Now Sony’s bosses have revealed just why it’s handheld took so long to take off. Read on to find out why…
According to Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida say the Playstation 3 is to blame for the slow trickle of titles for the PSP.

The only thing psp needs now is the PSN Friends list on the XMB so that you could talk/play with your friends online and even be able to send text to your ps3 friends, that's the only missing psp feature. And don't say why do you need friends list ( if you could use remote play to send text to your friends on ps3) well not everyone has got a ps3. (^_^)
I kinda agree with that
even with all these good psp games coming out i'd still rather play my ps3.
not as many people are interested in playing the psp anymore with next-gen consoles going strong.
I also agree the psp needs a friends list feature
That's just an excuse because I'm not finding many good games on the PS3 either <_<, but that may be because I'm an old skool gamer.

Different purposes, so you can't really compare. I mean of course you'll prefer your PS3 if you're sitting at home, the PSP is designed to be mobile.
And the current consoles aren't "next gen" any more.

yeah but I don't even play my psp on the go anymore.
