I hate how 7 is the most love when it's been killed with so many fans. It's basically a fan made game now....9, 10, Crystal Chronicles, and Tactics were the best in my opinion.

7 only is the most loved because when it came out, it was the first RPG with commercials on TV, it was also the first ps1 game with nice graphics and good story... the graphics is what got alot of people into it... i know TONS of people back then (i was in high school at the time) who hate all rpgs, but they got 7 on release day due to pure hype.. i told countless people "hey you like that, go back and play chrono trigger of even ff6" and 99% percent said they won't cause they don't like snes or nes graphics.... which is hilarious cause the story in 6 is imo better than 7...

12 is also great I just havent finished it yet.

I still say 9 was and still is the best FF. I loved CT too. I hate it when people base a games likability on graphics. I'd still rather play GTA 3 over Halo. I'd rather play SMB 3 over SM Sunshine. Graphics aren't what makes a game in my book. If you buy just for the design, you sir are not a gamer.

im 17 now, back when playstation and n64 came out my grandfather owned a tv shop. i remember not even looking at the PS. i had this huge obsession with earthbound.

I dunno, i liked 7 and 8 because, especially with 7, you could customise any character into anything. All could be materia'd/junctioned into mages, warriors, summoners, healers....whatever you wanted to make a character, you quite easily could

I didnt like the clear cut "your the warrior, your the black mage, your the summoner etc", it just seemed to forced to me

But I'll agree 9 had the best story, best music, was the only one of the big 3 that wasn't grungy and depressing, and generally rocked in many regards. I just missed customising my characters :(

Lol FF discussion.  ^ Try FF5, can swap your characters at any time, though you may have to rebuild their experience with new classes.

I somewhat like TDs for some odd reason, though probably not on a portable device.

yeah i still prefer playing TD with a mouse, ive fond playing starcraft and TD mechanics are already there lol

anyway ive having fun playing with Fieldrunner, Crystal Defender is like meh, I've been playing it in an Ipod touch but its not psp friendly for its control, lol

and yeah for FF discussion, not all FF is overrated, FF7 is the only FF that is overrated, lol
