I just upgraded my laptop last night. I love the performance and visual changes around with the theme.
I installed Xubuntu last night, and my wireless didn't work out of the box, although it has since 8.10. :(
but I didn't have to install any Graphics drivers. woo.
and the new theme is awesome. <3
Erk, the included USB installer won't consider my portable HDD. Unetbootin doesn't work either (doesn't install bootloader) for both USB HDD and installing directly onto the netbook HDD.
Looks like I'm gonna have to try a more involved method >_>
I'm slapping Ubuntu onto a Virtual Machine, as I really don't feel like leaving Windows or dualbooting.
From what I've heard the new 9.10 sucks, and that the 9.04 was better. idk, he never said why, because he logged off to annoy me, friggin SOB.

My PC's had better performance ever since I upgraded to 9.10 from 9.04. Could be the better support for Intel graphics cards.
Think I heard people having driver issues with Ubuntu 9.10.
Actually, considering my usage patterns, I'm seriously considering switching to some Linux. Haven't played any modern game in ages and rarely do any video processing these days.
