Okay, Windows 7 just got released, amirite?
Everyone's making a hueg fuss about it.

Only problem is, I've had it about a month longer than everyone else. Legit too, no hax, cracks or other not-legit things. And because I've had it for so long, everyone's harping on about features that are now "old" to me, and it's starting to annoy.

Does anyone else get this feeling of "I've been there and done that" when they get advance copies of stuff, and it feels like everyone showed up "late" to the launch party, so to speak?

tl;dr
ITT: Times when you got stuff ahead of the world's majority, and when exposed to the hype everyone else generated when they got it later than you; and you just feel wierd because you've gotten used to the new features/concepts.
i get the feeling but i just shut up about it :)
i don't go all hostile on them Gongxi

(no . im not saying you are, right now, with this thread)
Dad: "Windows 7 just came out"
Me: "Wee've been using it the past few months"
Dad: "Oh"
No, not really.  Well, at least not this time.
Eh, look at the main media.  They talk about stuff that you would find in tech news years ago.

i loled...because I've had the same conversation
One of my friends got it like a month ago, and was all excited for it.

I lol'd and told him I'd had it for months already.

Oh dear god. It's like some sort of universal father-to-technophile-spawn constant. My dad said something along those lines just yesterday.
And for the record, I don't say anything out loud, it's just this really wierd feeling, right in the center of my chest. Probably just my body being wierd, it does that; along with distressingly fast hair regrowth.
Nope, i instead offer support at a reasonable rate since by the time theyre using it, im familar with all the quicks and nuances of it

My feeling is warm, fuzzy, and pretty damn well paid the amount of technophiles i know who don't actually know what it is, just that its shiny Madwin
