Flyer Wrote:D:\sss that's path to the rco. so there was no unicode

ZB Wrote:Also, if you know how to use the command line, would you be able to test with that?
explain please in details what do u want from me:)
Hmm, maybe the temp path has something in there or something :/
Try something like this:
1. Open Notepad
2. Copy the following into it (replace "myrco.rco" with the filename of the RCO you wish to dump):

Batch Script
mkdir resources
rcomage dump myrco.rco myrco.xml --resdir resources
pause

3. Save it in the same folder as the RCO you wish to dump, as a.bat (make sure it isn't a.bat.txt)
4. Copy all the stuff in the Rcomage folder (should be one EXE and three DLLs) into the folder with the RCO
5. Run a.bat

Tell me if that works - thanks!

everytime i try to compile, i get the ol' windows vista "rcomage has stopped working", so i click close program, and then it returns and states tht the rco ws successfully compiled, even though the file it creates is 0 bytes? someone, please help!
Sounds like Rcomage crashed.  Would you be able to supply the XML along with any attached resources so that I can try to reproduce the issue?
Thanks :)

theEvilOne Wrote:How long should it take to dump the rco? It's been stuck on Please Wait-Processing for almost ten minutes now, and all of the folders except one that it extracted are empty. Is this just a random error, should I redump it?
It's probably Gimconv stuffing up again - I had expected Sony's Gimconv to be better, but appears it's got its own issues - check task manager and you should see it using all your CPU (or one core) [admittedly, my own GIM handling routines were never perfect either >_>].
The solution I guess would be to disable GIM » PNG conversion when dumping.

Hope that helps.

there dos window appers and show this=> can not perform the specified program , or somethibg like this
Make sure:
- you have MSVC runtimes installed
- rcomage.exe is in the same folder as the .bat file and the RCO you want to dump

See if that helps.
Yo Zinga Burga, do you think wee could make a dedicated help thread to RCOmage? I think this is getting out of hand. I want to help out as well. It seems everyone is asking too many questions for one man to handle.
Well, is there anything else to really discuss here other than help?
Thanks for your suggestion and trying to help out By the way :P
Well ok then. I'll start to pick things up from this page onwards and see what I can do.
ZiNgA BuRgA, hehe, it seems that i forgot that i haven't installed  MSVC runtimes after reinstalling my fudgein' windows^^
tnx for help, now it's working nearly fine^^
there is now other problem. when I'm tyin' to dump by rcomagegui, not ,a.bat, the is error "cannot launch rcomage. path not found"

Well, people can also start their own threads as well.  Personally don't understand those "big help threads" - apparently it's meant to make things tidy or something, but they just become a big mess of random posts.  Well, this will probably become one as well, but it seems to be the case anywhere anyway.

Yeah, I should ditch MSVC - little annoying things like that.
Did you accidentally move rcomage.exe away?  Make sure that Rcomage/rcomage.exe is there.  Also if the application itself has unicode characters in the path, see if moving them away somewhere else helps.
Thanks.
that's was because exe and 3 dlls were not only in rcomage folder, but in main one too. it's now fully workin' nice. tnx for help
I keep getting an error when compiling "runtime error: 70"
