Dunno, maybe ffmpeg is odd...  XviD4PSP is okay - but .NET is poo poo.
Why is .NET poo poo?
well this may be my only saving grace for psp videos if it works for me :P
I still don't see the attraction of staring at such a small screen to watch a video.

Maybe if you're on the go a lot...

Considering how people are like "ZOMG, movies on the phone/iPod", the PSP's screen is rather large actually.  Probably don't want to be watching more than one movie in a row on that thing, but I wouldn't watch more than one movie in a row on TV either.
Basically, yeah, on the go + my parents use my computer quite often, so I have to find something to do when that occurs (plus you can lie down whilst watching vids).
