Endless Paradigm

I'm getting info's for my poor college friend. Would her HP Mini 1100 MI run Windows 7 alright?

She's got the version that's got a 16GB hd, 1GB of ram. She doesn't know any other specs though.

1GB of RAM is pushing it. It would probably run it, but it would run other things slowly.

when I was running 7, there would be times where I would boot up, and be using more than 1GB of RAM.

oh, and 7 takes up about 11GB, so a 16GB HDD isn't nearly enough either.

Oh man, that sucks. I know that it would take alot of strength to run 7, but I didn't know it would be that much. Too bad.

XP is already built-in...some have Vista. :p

id say just run with xp
lol, or else put some more ram in there and get a larger hard drive. (but that's probably not a good idea unless youve done it before and you know that the machine can handle more)

Well I could do that for her, but its not really worth it. Especially with how small it is. And yeah, she's running XP

Windows 7 lags quite a bit on my netbook.  Stripped XP works well though.
(can't really strip that much from Windows 7)
