Don't have an A/V app handy, but try scanning this file I just made. By the way, don't blame me if scanning the file has any adverse effects (if any).

Truly, you don't know if you really have malware on your computer and essentially any data on your computer is at risk.
You can run security software without the bane of performance decrease if you choose the right security package.

I run scans every week, just no anti virus, firewall, etc. I KNOW I have nothing, I don't really download much anyway

I use ESET Smart Security and CCleaner...They both work well to keep my computer clean this one was just a fluke... :-\
