Ok, so, yesterday, I was in a hurry to get to school, and I ate some burgers over my PSP. Some of the burger got on my PSP, and now my Start Button doesn't work. I was told that it was because if something spills on the screen, it causes the Start Button to be unglued. I was given the choices of going to Sony to fix it for $99 (a. I don't have $99, b. I don't think they'd be too happy seeing a PSP with 5.50 GEN), buy another used PSP for $28 off, or go to a forum to see what I could do. So, how can I fix the start button? I've already pre-ordered LittleBigPlanet for PSP, and I don't want my experience ruined by a not-working button.
im not an expert but this what i would do
in order:

1 change face plate one of my buttons a wile back lost a rubbery part inside and i just changed the plate and it worked

2 look for hax my friends analog stick dident work and kept going up luckly there was a cool program that messed around with its sensitivity not shure if theres one for buttons thogh

3 rip somone off with it and use cash as a discount for a new one
i let sonny fix my old fat one and i got it back 45days later

4 if you have special love for it you can give it to a game trader store
were i live the fix them for about 40$ and they don't care about mods they know what's up :)

5 if u hate all these options then you can play it like it is untill money rolls your way

good luck i feel your pain ive been there

It's not that I hate the options, but:

1. I have no clue where to get a new faceplate

2. I don't see any hacks for the start button, software has nothing to do with it.

3. I'm not giving up my PSP <<"

4. The only game store I know of around my area is Gamestop, and they were the ones who gave me the suggestions in the first place.

5. I want to be able to use all of the buttons.

6 dip in toilet then flush
7. all I'm gonna say is, sledgehammer
Ok, so so far, 1-5 have actually been decent suggestions.

The question was, how can I fix my PSP, not how can I break it even more?
