Sony a while back announced that users could not remove the PSPgo battery in an attempt to stop piracy on the machine (people always find a way).

Yesterday it was reported that the battery isn't actually soldiered in, in fact the only thing stopping the battery from being removed is a "Warranty void if removed" sticker...which you could probably put back on anyway.

It is also reported that there is no metal framework holding the guts of the machine in meaning that its just the PSPgo pastic shell holding it all together meaning that you're gonna have to take even extra care with the portable device.

So who has the first facepalm pic?

hrmmm 3 wires...  + T -  Positive Temp Negative?

Well that's good that the battery is not soldiered in...but not too convenient to change while on a plane or a long car trip.

the T is still the data line from the battery EEPROM to the PSP. meaning if you were to remove that battery and place it inside a PSP-1000, by means of taping the wires in place, it could be perfectly possible to pandorise this battery.
man Sonys been failing hard lately
there is literally no point to the PSP Go! other than to increase profits for Sony. They get more Software profits by LOADS, and the retailers get nothing for software now, which is why loads arent stocking it at all.
hmm worst psp internal design next to the psp brite, lol

phat still the best for its internal metal armor, lol

(and now i can more compare psp go as a failed ipod touch, lol)
Interesting. Well, Sony should be begging for someone to hack the Go. After all, that's the only way this thing is gonna sell.

Slightly off-topic, but: this thing only has a 930mAh battery? I guess Sony was right when they said the battery life would be the same as a Slim (now that the UMD drive is gone, it uses less power, so it should be about the same as a default 1200mAh Slim battery). That sucks, and it really doesn't add anymore justice to the Go's price.
wee get the psp-go's in at work today

if i can ill try and sneak out get try one,

and tell yous what its like?
