Eating meat is fine, but its also true that the animals in the meat shops are treated without care.... for most parts.
More to the topic, I highly disapprove of zoos. It is far too cruel to full an animal out of its natural habitat and be put into a cage. I really hope that one day, some more dominant species does this to humans..
ummm... but your a human. do you want to be in a cage even though you didnt put any animals in a cage?

i agree some zoo's are really bad when it comes to treatment of animals, it's not so that they mistreat them but in my view they could do with a little more space, examples i can think of are cromer zoo and london zoo, but there is also some zoo's which mean good, like jersey (UK Channel island) Zoo, it's a animal sanctuary and all the animals there have loads of room and it's made to their habitat, and they're about helping endangered species then they are about the tourism.
i will add this here because i CBA to edit that, i just remembered that the cromer reptile area is really bad, they had lizards with really bad diseases and crocs that looked ill too.
are Zoos essentially "lazy safaris"?
People can find the animals in their habitat if they want to..... xD

yeah, if theyre loaded with cash...
most people can't afford a trip to africa to see a lion lol.
but still, the question begs itself, why do people NEED to see exotic animals at all?
