Apparently Haiku is POSIX based, so any POSIX compliant app should compile on it to some degree at least...
I probably wouldn't expect that much from an alpha either, especially since they're basing everything off a 10+ year old OS.

And that too, they're trying to code by trial and error.

You should use the Alpha build of a game or an OS (even Mac or Windows)... it VERY different from even Alpha 4-5.. After playing with a Alpha, the Beta feels almost complete!
