What the title says. Need to think of a smart project because this honors class requires us to enter something. I'd prefer something with computers or electronics but anything interesting please. E-pigs to whoever gives me an interesting idea. kthxbye

that used computers because the mobo uses interactive C programming...

are you in the position to suggest that?
until it was mentioned i was going to say hydrogen fuel cell. this is what im experimenting on right now. however if you want a real challenge make a hydrogen fuel cell splitter (i.e. produce both hydrogen and oxygen seperatly instead of the standard mixed hho variety). it really depends on your interests. depending on your level of programming ability you could maybe program a new protocol for networking, perhaps one that would allow you to find any other machine directly using standard inet protocols. again this is something i would like to do but i lack the ability to program at that level. or you could create a new thermal interface between the heatsinks and processors in a pc (perhaps a new technique or a better way to do the current methods). you could write a game engine (as opposed to a game, but i suppose you could also write a game).
basically you need to think what your capable of then decide what kind of thing you think is within your reach.
on a side note shmilks idea sounds interesting also as does trademark91's. and building a robot is something i always wanted to do but never had the time or reasources to make one. i ended up buying the real robots cybot thing, which was pretty cool.
