I'm thinking about watching Gunslinger Girl...

I'd say Haibane Renmei.

I've never seen Somedays Dreamers, but from what I've read about it, it's not that close to Haibane Renmei. Haibane Renmei is more philisophical (but it focuses on the life of the characters a bit more, I guess that's where someone drew up some similarities). It doesn't really pick up until ep 6, but it's a masterpiece of an anime imho.

I have a few anime DVDs and I haven't watched them, gawd maybe I should go watch them when I'm bored and when I have the time.

He means real retail DVDs bought from the shop, not digital fansubs burnt onto DVD.

I guess these plans died....LOL
