i got the mtech m9000 with a 2.80 ghz intel core2 duo processor, 4gb ram, nvidia geforce 9600m gt grapics card, a 320gb 7200rpm hdd, and windows xp pro! after shipping and taxes, cost me $1,517! can't wait till it arrives, i bet itll run soooo fast, especially once i install linux mint on that bad boy!

yeah. now its just ~5 days build and burn time, then shipping time. the wait is going to kill me. i never had a computer, all my posting and work is done from my psp. i even had to apply for college, and pick my classes from my psp, so i can't wait to get an actual lappy!

Whoa, serious? I would've gone to a net cafe/LAN centre or the local library - I can't stand browsing on that thing...
I recall how excited I was to get my own computer lol. Was a 533MHz Celeron dad got at an auction (and I was disappointed in how much he paid for it then).

Just a thought: if you're going to install a Linux OS, do you need WinXP on it already? I believe shipping with an OS already on costs more.
