Tomorrow I will be departing for the sunny/snowy peaks of the French Alps. I'll be gone for about 3 weeks and will need something to read while I'm away. There'll be no TV, no Interweb bar overpriced Interweb cafes and my cousins house in the last few days of the holiday. Wee will however have access to DVD's if anyone wants to recommend me a good one.

General Rules:
  • I'll read pretty much anything as long as it doesn't have an overly complicated plot. I get bored with books that get me lost.
  • Not really into Anime or any other illustrated/graphical novels/movies.
  • Funny, gripping and believable are good.Believable being the most important factor.

Just start throwing random titles at me and I'll see if I can pick up a copy on the way.

Go!
Stephen King's IT.

one of my favourite books evar.
a thousand splendid sons
the kite runner
the time traveler's wife
water for elephants: a novel
the glass castle: a memoir
angel's ashes: a memoir
diary of a wimpy kid books haha, even though they are for kids.

and
count of monte cristo, my all time favorite lol. 1k+ pages for you to savor.

most are not funny though, but they are interesting and makes you want to read the next chapter.
OK, done a quick scour of the bookshelf downstairs. So far I have:

On The Black Hill - Bruce Chatwin
A Spot Of Bother - Mark Haddon
The Prize - Daniel Yergin
A Brief History Of Time - Stephen Hawking

The last one is a test more than anything. If I can understand it then I know that there must be something going on in my brain. The other 3 have been recommended to me by my dad who reads a scary number of books...

not exactly college level stuff :/
but still interesting XD
The Shining :O
World War Z
Sniper One, reading it now, it's really good.
Don't know about you but I certainly enjoyed 'A Clockwork Orange'
But I watched the movie first and both the book and movie uses a sort of invented language but I still understood since some were quite easy to understand.
