If you're annoyed at the fact that you can't simply copy+paste the file across, then I guess you're stuck.  If you're dismayed at the time it takes to convert, you may be able to make the process a little faster by tweaking settings, though your CPU is probably the main limiting factor there.

dam! i wanted this just because it could play .mkv! my videos have too high res though........
