So this morning i woke up with a nasty headache at 4:30am...wife finally got me out of bed around 5:00am to see how big and bright the moon was during the sunrise...so after seeing that and sipping half a cup of coffee i finally got concious enough to realize the photo potential of the shot!

Lucky for me I read yesterday how to take the 3 images necessary to make an HDR and soon figured out the trick and snapped the photos...

...pause for shower time...

Then came the Photmatix editing..played around in there for a few minutes and got the images to line up perfect and got some settings arranged and voila...heres what i got

Original of 2nd round of photos...aka how it actually looked outside

That's actually a pretty good HDR, not like the overdone ones that really look like a cartoon and make people look like zombies.
Good job!
Thanks Funky!!!!  Awesome
Make less "glow" on top of the trees, just a liiittle less, also its great
dig how the moon showed up in the HDR Madwin
the moon was zSOOOOO bright it was crazy!  and then when i was leaving for work the moon was not visible but there were bands of clouds that looked soo cool!  But had not the time to capture them :(

thanks for the comments...not sure how to adjust the glow around the trees, but I'll be playing around more with this when i see the opportunity.  I also too 3 sets of the same thing using differnet white balances so Im curious to see how those will converge using all the same settings since I saved them for this reason :)

I also was reading about faking tilt-shift to make scenes look like they are miniature models...a buddy of mine at work has a 1976 vespa that he rides in sun, rain, snow and it has alot of character and I think hdr will pickup some wicked tones from the long term weathering on the scooter :D  Plus I wanted to try the tilt-shifting to make it look like a toy and then impose in a picture of sacboy to make it look like its sackboys scooter :P  HEHEHEHEEE.....  oh the fun I've never had before
never had a chance to get a shot worthy of a fake tiltshift :(

this might help : http://www.hdrsoft.com/support/faq_photomatix.html#halo
