It's hard not make a comparison of the new PSP GO design and these China-made MP4/MP3 players widely available in the Philippines.

I took this shot a few days ago but I was seeing these gadgets as early as February this year and probably was available as early as 2008.

Makes me wonder why the PSP GO is very similar (I said VERY SIMILAR) to these designs.

Even the colors are carnival-like. lol
if you look at the pic it says "Sony" right on the side of the device...

So let us think...
Maybe sony
Having already designed a successful product that uses this design decided to use it again
>.>

it's not that big of a deal...
sort of like saying OMFG!!!! THE IPOD MINI LOOKS LIKE AN IPOD
but this is not a Sony product. lol

this is a generic mp3 player with fake Sony branding.
nah it just a cheap design everyone can think of, that's what most people think when they saw the GO
meh i also seeing it in local stores in the philippines, and yeah no wonder why do i remember same designs years ago, lol
i love how it says sony but is on a nokia stand

lol for bad fake marketing
that is kinda like the design of the sidekick just instead of a keyboard its the controller buttons >.>

its a nice design
i see these things all the time ...

scary stuff are the nokia imitations... they look like the real thing... until you touch them

lol ... somebody asked me to put stuff in one of these yesterday ... its like in the first pic. only its 2gb

USB transfer is slow as hell + the buttons are really a pain to press

no MPEG support but it does play AVI 3GP RM (at least. that's what filetypes i saw loaded in it)

but yeah they can play nes games, but really tad slow, hahaha

also for fake ipod imitations, they almost everywhere in our country, lol
I don't really see any of those imitations in stores unless they're in some 2$ or Reject shop.
I saw some a while which followed some different designs such as the GBC GBASP and PS1 (might've been some more but I forget) but they all did the same thing, just had different designs.

I'll be honest here but I didn't think that when I first saw the GO, I just thought Sony are really trying to market the PSP because wee just got two other new designs not very long ago. All I thought design wise is how weird it'll be to hold.
