He's saying that netbooks are incompatible with disk drives (regardless of whether they're internal or external), and they just won't work together.
It's completely unfounded (since the Windows installed is the same)... but that's what he's saying.
feinicks Wrote:Oh, you're referring to installing Windows? Windows 7 installs fine, it's just I can't get a stripped version to install. Windows 7, unstripped, runs reallllllly slow... (dunno if stripping makes it much faster) My stripped XP runs really well though.Assassinator Wrote:feinicks Wrote:ZiNgA BuRgA Wrote:I'm really not sure what you're trying to say. Then that is a local case for him. I used portable HDDs, USB Disk drive and flahs drives (Pen drives) with the Acer one and they all worked. I recently installed Win 7 on it using a pendrive.

I did notice that 7 was a little slow (not as much as Vista, but not as quick as a nlite XP). However, its was incompatible with certain devices that were needed, so I went back to XP, and hence couldn't play around.I removed as much as possible - services, and disabling stuff in the Add/Remove programs. Still it lags like hell.
