I'm not saying about putting anything inside..

He's saying that netbooks are incompatible with disk drives (regardless of whether they're internal or external), and they just won't work together.

It's completely unfounded (since the Windows installed is the same)... but that's what he's saying.

Then that is a local case for him. I used portable HDDs, USB Disk drive and flahs drives (Pen drives) with the Acer one and they all worked. I recently installed Win 7 on it using a pendrive.

Oh, you're referring to installing Windows?  Windows 7 installs fine, it's just I can't get a stripped version to install.  Windows 7, unstripped, runs reallllllly slow... (dunno if stripping makes it much faster)  My stripped XP runs really well though.
I haven't tried stripping 7 yet, so I can't comment. However, maybe its a better option to install stock and then get rid of unnecessary services? I did notice that 7 was a little slow (not as much as Vista, but not as quick as a nlite XP). However, its was incompatible with certain devices that were needed, so I went back to XP, and hence couldn't play around.

I removed as much as possible - services, and disabling stuff in the Add/Remove programs.  Still it lags like hell.
Heck, Vista lags on my Q6600 with 4GB RAM, haven't really tried Win7, but I don't have much hope for it on a netbook.
Oh.. Vista + Netbooks = Are u stupid u want that.

Win7 runs decently... if u disable all the jazz...
Urgh, software's being a little annoying on this thing.

Looking to make the screen stuff larger...  I'm surprised I can't find a *good* full screen magnifier despite the number of non-fullscreen magnifiers out there >_>
Can't also seem to find a way to use various resolutions.  Native resolution is 1024x600.  640x400 is nice and large, but the problem is that 400 is a bit small for some apps (it's usually fine for most of my tasks since I use a lot of compact stuff).  It supports 640x480, but then the aspect gets really screwed.  Wanted to try 800x480 but it won't let me :(
i have no netbook¬¬
I've used 7 on my netbook before and it always ends up using 800mb of ram ideling which is bad considering i have a 1gb ram stick
