it saved my donkey, twice, the first time was a car crash into the street light, i backstepped and avoided it. hell, it was close.
I don't think gaming has really influence my actions in real life but it has influence me in things that are gaming wise.

yesterday, my house was attacked by psychotic bomb-wielding cats....so, in typical Monster Hunter fashion, I pulled out my giant hammer and sent those bomb-loving cats flying with an upswing :D
of course, the flying cats attracted the attention of a powerful monster, so I had to slay it, too....
and to make things worse, slaying the monster attracted the attention of some fanatical PETA members....so I sent them flying, too.....

No, erm, What I was meant to say was that I kill random animals for EXP and Gold.
Yesterday there were some rabbits running away from me so I casted Slow on them then I froze them with Blizzaga.
The only thing gaming has done for me is to lower my scores in exams. And insignificantly, lower the size of my wealth, (insignificant because I'm 98% pirate).
I used to play quite a bit of games. I hardly play games these days.
gaming has actually has had a good effect on. Its has made my thought process for fantasy writing much more clearer... needed for professional life ^_^
yeah it helped me in study too, not that im an ace student or anything, but my english is purely learned from games and such, it helped me on my science and math as well.
helped (and still does!) me escape when im feeling sad/pissed about life, modding gave me an interest in computes which will now give me a career, and, (don't know if its good, but certainly an influence) kept me from getting girls for almost my entire high school career lol
