hey guys, both my PSP's run 5.00m33-6, but i understand there is a new way to hack PSP's and that's called GEN sowftware or something.
can somebody care to explain the difference to be between the to custom firmwares? is one better than the other? is it similar to m33 firmware? can you still emulate ISO's etc with it?
just cause i was thinking of intalling it on my second PSP and i really want to no fully what GEN is.....
I want know too i keep hearing stuff about it but I always ignore it...

GEN is another custom firmware from PSPGEN, formerly developed by Miriam/HellDash-X now developed by I don't even know who.
I say just stick with M33, unless you have a unhackable slim, or 3000.
If your PSP is a GEN cfw, you can access recovery menu from the xmb...that's all I know.
but I'm staying at m33... :D
GEN have all M33 functions, adding some like accessing Recovy in the XMB
GEN can do ALL what M33 can do.
^ GEN also has the Shutdown Device option on the XMB Recovery Menu, right?

GEN firmwares only put plugins directly in their installer so that you don't need to install it in your memstick, lol
well as long as popsloader will be updated to the latest pops version, then im happy to upgrade in any cfw, lol
