[Coming Soon] Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN (For Hackable PSP's Only)

Requirements:
PSP with OFW 5.50 (all hackable PSP's only)
Official Firmware 5.50
Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN

Quote:The good news concerns the owners of PSP-1000 and PSP-2000 V1 and V2.

Wee will upload a Custom Firmware 5.50GEN and all that goes with it. Read

following to learn more about the subject.

Wee have therefore decided to make you enjoy our baby last time, the Custom firmware 5.50GEN-A which will be installed on all PSP agreeing to be flashées (PSP-1000, PSP-2000 V1 and V2).

This will enable owners of these consoles can take advantage of the latest official firmware from Sony, while retaining the benefits of the world underground. It is not beautiful life on PSPGEN?

For those who would not mind all the new official 5.50 firmware from Sony, here's a reminder:

     * The [Information Board] has been added under [PlayStation Notwork]
Those of you who have a PS3 should be familiar with this feature, which displays news and updates from SCEE in the upper right corner of the screen. You can now obtain information about the games ahead of the new content available on the Playstation Store, and other news from your PSP even if you are connected to WiFi. Note that on PS3, this feature is disabled by most users as it is accused of slowing down the connection and the console.

     * Support for Internet security service provided by Trend Micro has been added to [Internet Browser]

o end Micro Web Security: use technology to block access to malicious sites that can 'borrow' personal information and confidential
o Trend Micro Kid's Safety: You can block access to websites with inappropriate content.

     * An icon [Internet Search] has been added to the menu bar of your browser
       Was it really necessary?

     * In the menu option of a game, you can now perform an Internet search using the name of the game as a keyword.
By selecting the icon of the game and then pressing triangle and selecting [Internet Search] in the options menu allows you to get search results based on the name of the game This feature also comes from the PS3 or she appeared with the recent 2.70 update

     * You can now see an additional level of hierarchy under [Photo] [Music] and [Video]
It is now possible to create and access sub-folders in the folders Music, video and photo. More seriously missing.

Wee believe it is unnecessary to recall the advantages of the underground world because you know what is possible with a Custom Firmware, right?

Note that the online release of Custom Firmware 5.03GEN-A should be accompanied by the updating of various essential as the
Kernel Add-on Custom Firmware 1.50 for 5.50GEN
Unofficial and CXMB for 5.50GEN

Note that to achieve this result, it took our team of devs, more commonly known as GENyUS comes to decrypt the 5.50 official firmware (thank you y. ..) and then successfully changed the 5.02GEN-A to transform it into 5.50GEN-A. A job that took me some time but the result is up to the expectations: our latest Custom Firmware is currently the most powerful of all and you can test it by Friday 12 June 2009 in the evening. As you can see, wee try to do our best to make the scene alive and that you can have a good weekend in the company of PSPGEN while others try to make a clone ... but that is another story.

Note that wee also work on a V2 and V3 of 5.03HEN-A which should offer some new significant and appreciated. However, wanting to please everyone, wee put these online versions after 5.50GEN-A.

Thank you for us to be faithful ... and beware of counterfeits.

great news ;)
Good to hear, might actually update to this.
nice news the psp scene is alive again!
Meh, what Sony added to 5.50 is pretty lame, I won't update yet.
So... Does this mean if I have a PSP 1000 (I'm assuming it's the phat PSP; the original) and I have the OFW 5.50 that when this comes out I can have a CFW that will allow me to use emulators and such goodies? Thanks much.

This custom firmware itself won't do the trick.  To hack your FW5.50 PSP, you need to use a Pandora battery.  Once you're able to do that, you can install this firmware.

So there's no other way to be able to run an emulator on my PSP other than using the pandora battery? That kind of sucks... Would you happen to have a link on how to make one? Or do you have to buy it? Maybe a guide on how to be able to do that? I've been looking and I can't seem to find one.. (Maybe I'm looking in the wrong spot or I'm just that dense that I can't find it. xP)

Much thanks is appreciated. All I want to do is play emulators on my PSP (since I've gone broke and can't really afford games anymore).
Well, you're out of luck since you've upgraded (I'm assuming that you did) to FW5.50.  If you hadn't, you could've used the TIFF exploit.
You can make the battery yourself, but you need a PSP (probably a friend's one) which has been hacked.

If you have any further questions, please make a separate thread for it.  Thanks.

Actually I didn't know it myself for a while but there is an exploit for 5.50, why do you think 5.51 was released?
