As some of you may know I bought a BT Voyager 210 modem off eBay a few days ago. I discovered last night that it was faulty so I contacted the seller today about getting a replacement. He agreed that he would send me a replacement as soon as possible and all was sorted.
Then the phone rang.
"Hello it's joinup69"
Over the phone all was sorted and he agreed to send me a different model that doesn't suffer the design flaw that causes the 210 to overheat and die. He's also advised me not to just throw the one I currently have but to destroy it first so that it can't be resold. I feel really guilty for sending an irate message to him complaining about the original modem. Before now eBay has just been user names that take away the personality and humanity of the people behind. Now I know that there are some lovely people out there on the interweb (of course all you out there in the \/oid are lovely too).
Thank you very much Joinup69. I can't leave you feedback again (eBay won't let me) so this will have to do. Hope you find it!
