alright, while I try to fix the problem on someone else's slim PSP I previously mentioned, now I need some help fixing a problem on my own PSP....
The analog nub appears to be calibrated wrong.....leaving it in the center causes characters to walk.....any way of recalibrating it??
EDIT: problem solved....i took the faceplate off and sure enough, the connections were covered in lint/dust/whatever......so I cleaned it off, reassembled the PSP, and loaded up MHP2G.....and things are good now :D
^
try disassembling the psp and clean the inside...
go to youtube and search on how to clean it...
hope it will help you
You didn't happen to use a prx that would calibrate it for you, did you? That's how I messed mine up, never got it fixed again. If it is a hardware issue though, the connections between the Analog and the Mobo could be dirty or the screws holding the case not tight enough(But don't tighten them too much, don't want to strip them!).

These would be the connections in question.
Mine did that. I tried cleaning and reassembling etc but it didn't really help. By the way, if you do take the sensor apart be careful with the little spring. Mine went ping and it took 3 days of searching to find. Also positioning the spring again to put the whole lot back together is a bitch... If I were you, just don't bother. Buy a new sensor.

qft
i never got mine working again, i just used a plugin to disable it
I hate how the analog goes screwy. Since I rarely use it (don't play games) I just try to force it to stay put. Oh, and the analog nub dropped off a long time ago (lost it).
EDIT: plugin to disable it? Might try that.
disabling analog nub » no Monster Hunter » RAGE!!!!!
