well considering every other Sony game console has gotten a slimmer version, I would not be surprised if the PS3 did. It needs it too, that thing weighs over 9000 pounds.

but the dumbass know it all at gamestop when i bought my ps3 back  a few months ago said japan already had a slim ps3...believe it or not, i found NO data on the internet to back it up...

seems it would get pretty hot in the small box

maybe this is a Pray Station 3...big brother to the PXP...

they used "slim/slimish" font for slim model,.

Could be for real,.
