Agree, though SEGA have fallen to the evil ones they've been picking up slack and their games are getting better.
Atlus, SNK and Capcom are all in the same baot too. SNK need to release more games in English though =(
Also I disagree with SquareEnix, they've been going downhill in my opinion... FFXII aside >_>

I don't think even by that point wee'll be seeing proper gameplay, I think game developers might choose to invest all their money into making graphics still.

But what I meant was that developers must start their games and there's no graphics so they must invest a chocolateload of money to achieve real life graphics.

Honestly i prefer quality over graphics 1000000x. I just couldn't stand FFVII graphics, maybe because i played FFVIII 1st
The future of gaming is similar to ".//hack". That is virtual reality, where you control a character through complicated technology in a 3d real life world. That will be the zenith of graphics and gameplay...
