Xecuter has announced the release of a PRO RRoD repair kit for Xbox 360 kit. This one boasts specially formulated K-pads for the memory chips, uniquely designed X clamp and perfect fitting bolts. They seem very confident in their product and claim that out of 100 Xbox 360's, 87 worked perfectly with their product, 6 others needed a DVD replacement and 7 could not be repaired at all.

Quote:Wee released our original Xbox 360 RROD repair kit during Christmas 2008 - and after over 100,000 sales it has proved to be a superb success.

Of course there were still many consoles that it could not fix, and 360 modders were using an X-Clamp kit along with the Xecuter RROD kit to do a more robust repair. Naturally wee wanted to make sure that our customers had the very best solution possible so wee took the time to investigate the many many X-Clamp kits available and found that no two were the same, with many giving varying opinions and methods.

So wee spent a week or so testing the donkey out of many many different fix designs and after finding what wee think is the absolute perfect solution wee can now launch the Xecuter RROD PRO Repair Kit for the Xbox 360.

Not only have wee included our specially formulated K-Pads for the memory chips, wee have custom designed our own X-Clamp and have manufactured the bolts so that the length is the absolute precise length and thickness to offer the very very best solution.

Wee also include perfect sized washers and the best quality silicon paste to enable you to repair both the GPU & CPU all in one kit. All other tools are of course included.

As a test, wee purchased exactley 100 RROD consoles from a games store and applied the fix to all of these. After bench testing for 7 days wee have 87 consoles working perfectly with just the RROD Pro Fix, 6 others needed a DVD drive replacement and 7 could not be repaired at all - so were returned to M$ for replacements

Wee are very pleased with the results and believe this kit will be the definative repair kit available anywhere for the XBOX 360.

I sense a huge Microsoft backlash...

After all, RRoD's = $ for Microsoft

i don't think so, all of these ways of "solving" the rrod don't prevent it; they just extend the life a little longer.
Xbox = You wasted your money..
Might be.... but PS3 = you wasted even more money....
Which is why PC =Win

Illogical equation; cannot compute

PC's costs too much to maintain for gaming, though...

Nah, at least PS3 can run Linux without hacks, lol.

yeah how much does a gaming PC cost xD

about £450 (BARE minimum) to £2000 (OMG IT RUNS CRYSIS TWICE AT THE SAME TIME)
Well it's actually more the games that make me more upset then anything else.....

Games should programmed with that priority order:

1. Gameplay
2. Story/Gameworld
3. Graphics

And not like nowadays for the PS3:

1. Graphics
2. Graphics
3. Graphics
.
.
.
11. Story
12. Gameplay

and XBOX 360:

1. Graphics
2. Graphics
3. Graphics
4. Gameplay
5. Story

Yeah I like good looking games very much but I miss the days where the fun in gaming came first, like waaay in the past with Super Mario World or Secret of Mana where a game still had the meaning and feeling of a videogame and not like todays "interactive action movies" Or games like Zelda, Grandia or the good old Final Fantasy games which told a great plot but never forgot they where a videogame.

Of course there are exceptions like Little Big Planet but IMHO modern gaming has lost the gaming too much.... even Nintendo games go down the drain compared with the past...
My friend just got RROD. ouch

@skyy, =p you can fix your post when you get stuffs like Valkyria chronicles, aragest senki ZERO, Disgaea 3, etc etc
