Big red robot, either its head or chest is shaped like a star. Saw it on Toonami once a while back, from what I remember it was at some kind of robot show, then there was an attack and some random kid got stuck piloting it. Yeah, standard plot, I know, but the robots design might ring a bell. Its been poking at the back of mah mind fer a bit now, and even if I never watch it, knowing the title might make it go 'way.

I think it is dai-guard, it was during that week back in 2003 when toonami tried a bunch of random stuff. I think it may have been the week they premiered Megas XLR (just one ep, not the series as a whole). The bot looks like it, I'll grab the first ep to see. Thanks Mickey! yeah its either that or The Big O, i seriously doubt its gundam and gurren was on scifi.... i don't know where you are but here like you said they showed alot of random stuff that they never intended on showinh the rest, like they showed the first episode of evangelion... no way in hell that would get finished on tv here during the day... especially the part when asuka gets hurt and shinji visits her and is yelling at her whiles shes on a hospital bed to get up and she rolls over... exposing herself and the next thing they showed was the door locking and shinji's hand with white stuff all over it and he actually says 'im so f
ucked up'
