So I thought I might go legit today but it turns out its just being a pain in the donkey.

I bought BitDefender Internet Security 2009 thinking it would be nice to not have to worry about cracks and all that poo poo, Oh boy was I wrong.

I have tried to install it but everytime I get this error.

"Could not write value wslibsite key \.DEFAULT\Software\SetID. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personel."

So I cancel the installation and see what is going on.

After a while I get pissed of and just press ok to continue the installation. This is where I really get pissed off.

It installs and everything seems ok until... I get a message saying that my BitDefender has expired and that i need to put a new licence key in, I thought it was strange seeing as a downloaded a trial so checked the licence information and it said that my licence was invalid when it was ment to say 30 days remaining, and that i had never registered the product, anyways I tried to put my licence key and a try it and it says i can't because it not for the right product.

So I double checked and it was so this is where I contacted BitDefender, the guy was an idiot and told me to ring the america call center even though I told him I live in the UK.

So now I can't use something I bought, Can someone help me please!
Uninstall as much as you can, reboot, delete the Bitdefender Program Files if they remain.

Then, go into the Registry Editor, look for the Bitdefender keys and delete them, nothing else.

It should work then.
I have done all of that and used the removal tool from bitdefender everytime it fails to remove main registry keys, I think something is blocking it.. Oh and by the way I am running everything as administrator

...

Okay, so remove the keys yourself.
yeah i have tried but some how there is some there.. but i don't think the keys are the problem i think its that bitdefender can't write to the keys because its giving that error

probably because the keys are still there...

if they are there, you can delete them so long as you're Administrator.
Ok i removed everything possible and i set all the settings to administrator and done everything i know to make it run in full permision and it still can't write the values
