Davee has new Kernel exploit, PSP 3000 HEN coming soon?

The homebrew scene is buzzing wild again as Davee reveals at the MforMature Forums that he's got a new Kernel exploit, working on a new homebrew enabler, and he's looking forward to release it before Tuesday. If this is true, wee might be looking at a new HEN for the PSP-3000.

So says Davee on his forum post:

HEN will be a stripped down enabler lacking many features of M33 custom firmware. It'll allow the bootup of homebrew regardless but may be restrictive to certain applications (in cases where it will not boot at all). However, applications will be released to enhance the HEN such as the loading of M33 custom firmware when I get permission to use the modules.

As another note, the conditions of the TIFF exploit as very unstable (as you might have noticed) and flashing of modules to flash0 is improbable and will load off the memorystick. An eboot will be supplied to countervent this and will flash the modules in a more stable environment.

Release is currently unconfirmed but will be before Tuesday.

For now, all eyes are one Davee as he works on the much-desired HEN. Lots of anticipation building up, so you better stay on your toes and keep checking back with us for more news and updates.

Is this the "awesomeness" that MaTiAz was talking about? Or does he have other "awesomeness" to release?

Yep wee , they did it finnaly , the exploit not the HEN yet.
I saw so many people complaining why wee won't have Iso´s in the new hack...
You know piracy destroys all it touches , like someone said , if Dl a game then you don't respect it , do you got my point , How many games wee have , i have tons , but how many games i finished , none ... so ask you the same question...

Ill be happy to see CXMB working on the new PSPs , that would be awesomeness ...

HeN or homebrew capability is what Sony must have done time ago ,
so to save sceners some work.
Actually I too am against a ISOLoader for the PSP... The point that people say: Games are expensive: will not hold true if people actually start buying, cause then the prices will go down.
This is good news, & I agree no iso enabler/loader..  I maybe will actually play my games then,..hahha
This is exciting.

And to be honest, I hope it is I$O capable.  SONY can't get publishers to make PSPgames anyway.  The PSP scene was commercially killed long ago, so I wouldn't worry too much about piracy hurting anything.  SONY themselves quoted: "Wee try to sell to the market that is, not the market that could be..."

I own (most) of the games I have stored as I$O on my PSP.
At the end of the day, UMD format just sucks...
The loading times are completely unacceptable in most cases.

I would never buy a PSP game that could not be ripped/loaded from memory stick.
That's my 2 cents.

Great work Davee !
I will be waiting for a release with bells on.   :D

I see your point Mr. Shizzy , also the UMD is room taking and i hate when i see a scratch on my UMDs after i let them to some friend or i did myself , actually the scene is good for Sony , they sell units.
^^ yes.. but not so for the Developers who totally lose the effort of developing the game. The UMD format does suck. Sony needs to be blamed and must come up with a better distribution format.

they should go back to cartridges... think about it, instead of developing UMD's they should've invested in reducing production costs of memory sticks, and create cheap, high speed memories, and if they developed a propiertary high speed bus for such memories it would be a killer combo, since developers would have theoretically infinite space for game making and would make defeat the speed purpose of using iso's
But optical media is so cheap...

Pretty cool - I hope PSP-1000 and PSP-2000 versions are made :P
according to MaGiXieN @ PSPGEN

"Notez cependant que si son HEN active le kernel mode, il sera facile à n'importe
quel programmeur au niveau d'adapter devhook et ainsi ouvrir la porte des ISO et
des jeux PS1 à ce HEN..."

to adapt devhook and open the door of the ISO and PS1 games to HEN"
