As some of you may know I destroyed the XP installation that, until about 5:00PM yesterday lived on my laptop. I'm not too pissed off as I have backups aplenty and its also an opportunity to mess around with another OS. My plan is to Triple-Boot XP, Kalyway Mac OSX (Just so I can see what all the hype is about), and then some extra space for something else like a Linux distro or a Win7 Beta.

If I was doing this on my desktop it would be easy as I would just give each OS its own hard drive. Of course with a laptop that's slightly more difficult. (I do have an extra hard drive bay but Toshiba have moulded plastic pegs into the cover so you can't do anything with it. Bastards.) What I need is a bootloader to choose upon boot which OS to use. I've never used or needed one before, so I'm not entirely sure how to go about it. I've done a bit of digging and come across a few such as GRUB but I have no idea how to install and set them up.

That's where YOU come in...
I used this http://eu.v-com.com/product/System_Commander_Home.html to do exactly what you want on my laptop when the first osx4x86 was released and it was very easy to use and remove things when needed.

I have an older hp nc6000 that is relatively easy to pull out and swap harddrives, so I just have seperate harddrives for each OS and bought the drive brackets on ebay for $5 each...so now i have a windows drive, osx drive and linux drive..but lately all i use is the linux one.
