In this guide I'm going to teach you how to convert waves & make waves on 5.00 without it freezing when you have it set to original.
I wrote this kinda fast so if you see anything wrong or have any problems let me know.

Quote:Things you need
Wave Injector V1.0 - DOWNLOAD
Wave Template PSD - DOWNLOAD
Adobe Photoshop - http://www.adobe.com/

Quote:Converting Waves to 5.00
1) extract the Wave Injector folder to wherever you want
2) open Wave Injector & click on the XMB Wave tab
3) click browse & go to the system_plugin_bg.rco you want to convert
you will see a preview of the wave (see below)
Spoiler:

DON'T CLOSE THE APP!
4) go to the Wave Injector folder you extracted & look in the wtfiles folder (see below)
5) take out the file mdl_bg.tga & place it on your desktop
NOW YOU CAN CLOSE THE APP!
BE SURE TO CLICK CLOSE & NOT THE "X" AT THE TOP RIGHT

6) open Wave Injector again & go back to the XMB Wave tab
7) click inject & browse to the mdl_bg.tga file that should be on your desktop
you should see the same preview as before
8) make sure you have Firmware 500 checked & click save
You can now flash the system_plugin_bg.rco you just saved (flash0: vsh/resource)
If everything went correctly you should be able to switch between original & classic without your psp freezing.

I won't go into too much detail on how to create waves because theres already an excellent guide by Vegetano.
Read it Here http://endlessparadigm.com/forum/showthr...455&page=1

Just make the tga like he describes in the guide, but don't use TgaWave CreativeStudio or TGAwave to make the system_plugin_bg.rco (use Wave Injector V1.0)

Once you have made your TGA open up Wave Injector
go to the XMB Wave tab & inject your TGA, then save it (Remember to have "Firmware 500" checked)

If I get a little more time I might add on to this part of the guide, if anyone thinks it's needed
For now Vegetano's guide should have all you need to know

I think if you get a double wave, then your source TGA is too big...
But it's really been  a while since I've played with waves.

EDIT:  Just noticed your fine print V1.
I hope that you do find interest in themeing again.  You are one of the best in the world.(And I'm not just trying to boost your ego bro)

I think Shizzy's right about the source TGA being too big, if you get double waves

I've noticed you haven't made any themes lately, so I kinda figured you've stopped for awhile.
I agree with Shizzy you are one of the best, if not the best out there & I learned alot from you.
Hopefully you can find interest in making themes again, but I do understand where your coming from.
I myself have less & less motivation to make themes anymore.

If I do decide to keep making themes I'm going to TRY to convert a couple of your themes to 5.00 that I miss alot :)
More room enjoying all custom theme's on my PSP,. ;p

Kinda miss a new CF,. no new sony updates,.

If i recall correctly using Highboy's wave tool works best preventing double waves,. but you still need to keep the image small.

I learned theming from the best!!
even though the wave works without a brick or anything how come it dosent move the same?

not sure honestly, don't really pay attention to the wave lol
clispe Wrote:even though the wave works without a brick or anything how come it dosent move the same?

I bet I know why...
I noticed with Highboys (wonderful) Wave Injector, that it actually injects the .tga upside down.  So just flip it upside down in
Photoshop, before you inject it, and it will display right side up.   ;)

I do remember having that problem before, but it doesn't happen all the time.
I just tried about 5 tga files & only one was upside, kinda strange really.
