This idea just hit me and I thought it might be interesting.
The idea is that given an anime RAW of a random anime episode, contestants have to try to put their own subs to it. It can either be their best guess of what's going on, a completely made up story, or just completely random (though should be amusing of course :P), or whatever strikes their mind. As such, it would be preferable if the contestant hasn't seen the show beforehand (ie subbed or dubbed versions), and preferably if you don't know Japanese.
Contestants submit their subtitle files and judging is done by votes/ratings. For subs, preferably should be in a proper format, but if you can't time/unwilling/don't know how, you could submit a text file with clear indications of what goes where.
If an entire episode is too long, it could perhaps be done for part of an episode instead. Also if it includes an OP/ED, subbing these will be optional.
That's all I can think of now.
Since this is rather easy to set up, it should go ahead provided enough people are willing to partake.
So, anyone willing to try this out?
