Has anyone here participated in the Battleforge Beta? I just read a test in a german game magazine and also watched the added video and have to say even though I normally avoid multiplayer RTS games because I suck at them, I was impressed.
The card system looks incredible fun and the battles smooth and exciting.
So anyone has some play experience? I'm almost about to buy it^^
Battleforge?
Never heard of it...

RTS has card system now?
looked at it, but missed the beta

Looks fun, might get it when it comes out tomorrow over here

Stupid internet got capped. Dialup speed right now. Can't stream youtube.
^ Just search for screenshots lol.

Looked at the cast card right at the beginning.  Doesn't look particularly new, I mean, it looks like a "player power" or "super power" rather than something your units use.  Similar to the General powers in C&C Generals or special powers in LoTR2 Battle for Middle Earth.  Can't really tell much from Youtube quality and that battle, but looks fairly standard >_>
Maybe I picked a bad video. The game works actually fairly different from what I saw/read. The only way to bring something into play are the cards. There's no real base. Before the match you have to build your card deck out of 200 available cards atm. If you buy the game you get 96 cards. The rest you can buy in Booster Packs with game points which you get through winning matches. All card effects except defense buildings are instant and there are orb points spread across the map. There are 4 colors, green, red, blue and black, along with matching color orbs on the maps. To play higher level cards you have to capture orbs with the matching color to your deck.
