Caves are annoying.
Anyway its decent so far. Looks like they fixed up all my qualms with D/P it seems. (In particular the saving times).
Also sorry Sparker, Bronzor is still as common as ever!
Bronzor is useless anyway, it's evolution however is annoying....I lost too many times thanks to it. ;-;

I wouldn't call it useless since it evolves into Bronzong. One of the best defensive Pokemon in the game!
The only Pokemon games I've played are the really old Red and blue.

Since when did defense mean much in Pokemon? (unless stuff really changed since Red and Blue). Attack is the key to victory. (And cheap stuff like thunder Wave in Red and Blue, which has 100% chance of stun...)

You serious?
Even in the RBY metagame defense was important... why do you think everyone used Chansey....?

Ok... do you mean actually playing against humans players? if you mean playing against humans, then I would have no idea, since I never done that before. (Heh, I played on emulator at home). But I assume stuff like a really fast lightning pokemon using something like thunder wave (Thunder wave if I remember correctly, is 100%, or close to 100% paralyze chance) would win it for you... they're not going to kill you very fast if they're perma paralyzed...
If you mean just ripping up the storyline... defence seriously isn't that important, attack and speed way more important. Back then in Red and Blue, if I remember correctly, Alakazam = 1 hit like pretty much 70% of things you fight, especially considering psychic is super effective against like 1/2 the pokemon types out there. Alakazam is also extremely fast, can sleep stuff, and can heal itself...
Personally, I never used Chancey before (why Chancey? it's not particularly fast, nor does it have very powerful attacks)... From what I remember (this is from like 8 years ago or something)... early-mid game, stuff I found really effective = things like Butterfree (insane early game stats since you're 3rd evolution, while they're 1st, and good attacks), Raticate (hyper fang = very good early game attack), Kadabra (Heh, psychic, and in Red and Blue, psychic type is really imba). late game, my team pretty much consisted of... Charizard, Alakazam, Zapdos, Golem (massive attack and defence, easy win against everything that sucks against rock), and some other pokemon I can't remember (I think kabutops... taught it some stuff, and it knows ice beam and psychic)... very late game, Mewtwo.
the last pokemon version i played is the crystal version in gbc, i don't play the pokemon in gba, lol, so i don't know what the hell does there are new pokemons i don't know, lol

Yeah you really haven't played against other players have you? Paralyzing the whole enemy team doesn't work since Electivire, Jolteon and ground types chew through Thunder Wave. The latter being on every single team out there. Doesn't help that Dugtrio is pretty common too! You can't switch out and save your electric type if Dugtrio comes in.
In game though, yeah defense is not important since I just use Gengar and Infernape to beat up everything. Levelling up Abra is annoying so I don't use Alakazam (Plus elemental punches use physical attack now ;_;)

Most of the Hoenn Pokemon aren't very strong. The only real stand outs are all 3 starters (Swampert in particular), Metagross and Salamence. The game adds a whole bunch of new features too even more than what Johto added actually! A bit disappointing that DPPt didn't added much new features compared to the last two generations.

Nah, never played a human. I don't have a real GB/A, play everything on emulator. I think it's actually possible right now to play against another player, emulator to emulator, but 9 years ago... my computer skill is just about non-existent (... only got the emulator (didn't know it was an emulator back then, thought the game was made for PC) to work cause my friend spoon fed be step by step... I would NOT have figured out how to play someone else online, hell, I didn't even know how to email someone back then

).
And also, I've only played Red + Blue, so I have no idea how good Electivire and Infernape are. But from what I remember, Kadabra (Alakazam) is easier to lvl up than Haunter (Gengar), since Confusion/ Psy Beam are in general, faster at killing stuff than Night Shade, due to psychic attacks being super effective against like everything. lvling Abra is annoying when all it has is teleport, but once you learn confusion, you start owning stuff pretty easy.
And I assume you can't just 1 shot humans either, can you.
OHKO is doable but if they know that you're going to OHKO them they usually try to counter you by sending a *gasp* defensive Pokemon.
Also yeah, once Abra evolves its easier to level than Gastly but newer games gave Gastly better moves like Shadow Ball plus Gastly can learn Thunder, Thunderbolt and other various elemental moves. Since Alakazam lost the elemental punches, Gengar has been used over it =/
Also Dark type (Introduced in GSC) is immune to Psychic type attacks and Steel type (Also introduced in GSC) resists Psychic attacks.
