Endless Paradigm

If say that all the things depicted in Anime were true, what would you prefer:

•The Inner Soul Power or spirit power Arc: This would be physical manifestation of the Spirit (or Chakra or whatever), enabling a variety of Psychic abilities... levitation, teleportation (like flash steps and all), power attacks etc.
The emphasis would be on the physical abilities, and hence technologically advanced weapons systems like guns and planes would be non-existant.. at least on a large scale-action oriented level. Swords, Martial arts and sheer manifestation of spiritual energy would dictate warfare. Even if guns and tanks are dominant, the most powerful force, and the chosen mode of engagement would be Spirit power.

Classical example of such anime would be DBZ, Bleach and Naruto... though there are many more.

•Technological Arc: This of course, typically means Mecha. But it is not limited to the the great humanoid robots. this could also imply Space battles or simply tanks and hyper advanced warships. The majority of the warfare would gun-fights, missiles and yes, martial arts between mecha.
Using technology, some of the above mentioned feats lie For the loss etc could also be performed.

classical examples of this would be: Gurren Lagann, Glass fleet, Code Geass etc.

You may think neither, preferring the Slice of life, high school anime, but do play along.

That would still be due to the Machine.... the pilot cannot express that power on their own. They need a mechanical medium. for instance, the Lambda Driver in FMP... it can only be used by one pilot... but the pilot can't use it without the mecha...
