Proof that the
Apple grows larger from sin..
Microsoft founder head Bill Gates has eXx1l3d the use of products made by arch-rival Apple from his house, his wife has revealed.
But the blockade could backfire on Gates, 53, after Melinda admitted there are times she feels envious of her friends' iPhones.
She told Vogue magazine that the couple's three children Jennifer, 13, Rory, 10 and Phoebe, seven, are not allowed Apple products.
Mrs. Gates Wrote:'There are very few things that are on the eXx1l3d list in our household,' she said.
'But iPods and iPhones are two things wee don't get for our kids.'
Like any forbidden fruit, however, Mrs Gates, 44, admitted that some Apple products do have the power to tempt her.
'Every now and then I look at my friends and say 'Ooh, I wouldn't mind having that iPhone,' she admitted.
Isn't envy one of the deadly sins? And that, IMO, is all that pushes Apple to be the success that it is.
I will not discuss my disapproval of the use of Apple products by the idiots that love them and those that want them....

lol.... Genuinely speaking, I like the looks of iPhone, Mac products and OS X... but hate their limited (read restricted) usability.

yes i feel they strive on looks alone because they are definitely not user friendly in a Windows Domain!
I have constant requests from people here saying
-entourage won't connect to exchange
-iphone won't get email
-osx won't print to an IP printer
-osx won't print to a windows shared printer
-osx won't connect to a windows file server
-osx won't connect to a windows workstation share
-osx can't connect to a WEP access point
and more...
I am VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY cranky towards Apple and SQL today
I love apple, the exquisite design and plush finish and easy to use user interfaces.

Windows is so huge and with over 16 million lines of code etc I think Apple have done well to match some of the windows applications and to co-incide their apps to work with windows ones.
All those requests are just from uneducated people in that field. It is only that you have received the same and similar requests that it frustrates you.
To be honest it's only because Microsoft started everything that these issues emerged. Plus on macbooks you can easily run windows 7 so what's the problem?
Running windows on a mac is not the solution. The only people here that NEED to be on mac are the avid, final cut, and protools computers...the rest of the donkey hats that want to be on mac do it for the 'prestige' it gives them when using their computer in front of a clients rather than being cooperative and using the piece of spoon dell that wee supply everyone with.
OS X can totally connect to a windows file share...

yes I know it can and see it work all the time...but then all the other times it doesn't work.

I find this very stupid. Not only this, but people buying a laptop loaded with Vista and then downgrade it to XP....
All reasons aside, then what about the money you paid to purchase the license and the software? If piracy is assumed to be non-existant and that you actually buy your own Vista, 7 (in the future) etc, then that's a helluva loss you're going into, installing Windows on Mac... you paid for the Mac hardware, the Mac OS
and the Windows OS...

That and the fact that you just got hustled out of a few grand buying a mac laptop when you can buy a hackintosh compatable system for much less, get your free copy of vista or xp, then drop $99 on OSX and build the hackintosh install disk.
Apple won't use the fastest cpus because maybe Intel won't sell it to them?
Plus you need to consider Apple will NEVER install the fastest cpu, ram, or harddrive in their systems.
Apple computers have
-much slower cpu than the fastest available Intel chips
-use pc4200 ram instead of pc6400 or even pc8500 in the ddr2 flavor thus leaving the FSB at less than 800mhz and not utilizing the available 1333mhz FSB a pc uses in a DDR2 compatable system let alone the huge boost of the i7 chip's available speed
-use 4200 and 5400rpm drives in their laptops along with equally slow memory
Have you seen the latest refresh of their line?
