My cousin, not being the ultra geeky person that she is, had to have her OS reinstalled. This is how she lost all her iTunes information. The songs (600+ on an iPod Nano chromatic a iPod Mini 2nd gen) are still on her ipod, but obviously not on her computer. Do you know of any stellar programs that can have me save the songs onto a computer without iTunes? iTunes will just delete everything b/c its not on her computer...
If you do know of any I'm sure my cousin would be pretty happy and I'd be able to hold up my end of the bargain.
I don't mind paying, by the way.
download and install MediaMonkey3, click on the connected iPod and drag n drop.
Then you can use the Auto-Organize function to retag the filenames should you want to do so.
MM3 is the best Music Library App bar-none.
grr i had the best one can't remember what it was called though :/

Sensei: Thanks a lot for the recommendation!
Mc cabe: It's all good, take your time. Thanks for the consideration though. =P
Ohhh, thanks for that one. =] You ever try that? MediaMonkey is pretty stellar though.
Yeh I used it, it's the best manager I have come across.

told ya, thing is though, its fantastic for music but that's it sadly... nevertheless its what i use with my 3rd Gen Nano.
I recommend giving the Mediamonkey AAC Plugin a try, it converts to aac, mp4, etc. and they are excellent formats that can save great amounts of space when used correctly.
A tip if you give it a go, make sure you set the format to M4A in the Auto-Conversion option tab for the device, otherwise it makes unplayable files for some reason.
Thanks, I'll spread the word to my cousin. Not too much of a music fanatic myself, sadly. >.>
