excuse me if this is a dumb question, but what do you mean by page generation? it sounds to me like how the site loads (which does just fine for me, i don't really notice it being slow, though twice or thrice a link hasn't taken me through and ive had to go back and hit the link again).

Page Generation is the time it takes for the server to generate the webpage, since forum pages are dynamic (ie change) so every time you view a webpage on this site, the server has to run a PHP script and generate the webpage for you to view (as opposed to static pages where the server just feeds the data without executing anything really). I've noticed that this server's PHP generation times are rather slow (about 0.2 seconds per page on average) so I suspected generation times to be the issue, but it isn't.
