You're really going to have to examine the container for this. A RAW image won't help you at all with the image format.

Am i at the right path with converting the raw pictures in any format and compare the code in a hex editor ?

Wow, i think i have found a realy interresting thing about the GRAPHICS.DDP
I just googled a bit around 4 the DDP extension and can not beleve what i found.
I think now i know why the pictures in photoshop displayed this dark, i said some posts ago that disabling the black channel does make look the image brighter.
Now i found out that DDP (Digital Development Processing) is an process to handle graphics (make dark pixels brighter and light pixels darker) wich is used to make graphics better displayed wich are taken in space from satellites and Teleskopes.
