Yeah, it was a sort of bday present to myself :)

Also, the v8 heatsink was only 69 USD, and the GPU was 500 USD before the 45 discount for combining with mobo.  The Processor was 285 USD.  I am running at ~35-45 consistently.  ~45 while I was doing the 3DMark06 benchmark, but it is blowing out nice cool air and sucking in through its two million fans.   So far, I'm very happy with it :D
Lolz, hairy arm :D
I Wish I had your gpu :(
my Nvidia geforce 8400 GS Cannot run crysis well enough on low graphics....
Your cpu cooler,. does't it run on Kerosine>!? ;p

you can still add 2 more 295gtx graphics cards lol ! i doubt its needed though,.
i think i may have creamed myself...

Happy birthday, its one hell of a present. That CPU cooler looks insane! How's it held onto the board? Because there's no way the standard push-pin system will take that much weight...
The coolers aren't that heavy - it's why it's built with that fin design, so the push-pin setup does actually hold it fairly well in place >_>
Is the cooler aluminium (yes, ALUMINIUM NOT ALUMINUM) or copper?

* PSPkiller does a quick google

Mostly aluminium so not as heavy as I thought. I have a small-ish Akasa copper cooler that my MoBo struggles to hold.
Yeah, I was pretty surprised myself.  I was afraid it would put too much strain on the mobo, but it isn't as heavy or as badly weighted as I expected.  My comp's temps are just plain amazing.  At this moment, it is running at 29C, and it almost never goes above 35.  I'm so happy I went with this guy.  Combined with my awesome chassis, I am putting out cool air consistently.  It may be a great AC for the summer!!

Now I am setting up my new desk, then running my Cat6 (couldn't find enough Cat-5e and got a great discount from a friend who worked at a retail store) through my room to a router in the room below me.  My sound system is set up too. After that, I'll be ready to start putting security on it, as well as easily update its drivers and start messing around with it more!

After I'm on the net, I'll play Spore for the first time!!!  Also, just ordered Crysis and Crysis Warhead off ebay, so this'll be fun :D

I'll keep you guys updated...
Now it's time to overclock!!!

Corei7 is supposed to overclock really well, and I'm sure your fan can support it.

By the way, do the PCMark05 bench. I want to see how much you can get. (I know you've done the 3DMark, but I seriously don't care about 3DMark...)
I already OCed it to 3.4 without changing almost any voltages. I'll be taking it to around 3.7 for sure.  People are getting it to 3.9 pretty easily, with very little voltage changes, and on air, so that is certainly an option.  Though, I think 3.7 will probably be plenty for me, as I am coming from an 800mhz system that I've been using for about 3 years, before which I was using some god-awful poo poo system, so the difference at this moment is night and day.    As soon as I had first loaded up the BIOS, I immediately did a few small tweaks to the voltages and achieved stability just by changing the VCore to 1.25 and achieveing a 3.4ghz OC.  I'll go higher tonight!!!
