I just had a tooth pulled at the dentist today.
He warned that I better not smoke, or I could risk getting dry socket.

I know smoking isn't good anyway; but damn - this is killing me.
I need some nicotine   LOL

If you have ever had a tooth extracted, how long did you wait to smoke a cigarrete afterwards ?

Did you get dry socket ?
Nicotine patch?? lol my friend tried them and said they were poo poo.
just make sure that your drinking something while your smoking, NOT THROUGH A STRAW THOUGH, and you should be fine. That's what I did, and I was alright. I also drove myself home from that appt as well, and they said that I shouldn't have done that as well, but oh well.
the problem isn't just the smoke in your mouth..when you are dragging off your smoke your are creating a pressurized vaccuum in your mouth and with that the smoke gets pulled into the wound and puts pressure on it as well :(

it sucks...but you can get through it...

pretty much when you feel like you can eat again, you can smoke again is how I've done it...though I did not want to eat very soon after getting my wisdom teeth out...it will also be a bit uncomfortable feeling....

maybe take a few drags for the quick buzz then put it out?
