when I bought my new controller it didn't just turn on my xbox
you have to hold the link button on the controller and on the xbox for them to connect to each other

I dunno what's up with your guys' Xboxes, but mine turned it on out of the box, plus my controllers will turn on my friends' Xboxes just fine without linking...
a couple of friends of mine live next door to each other and keep turning on each others xboxes. they have to leave them unplugged.
OLD OLD OLD OLD OLD OLD OOOLLDDD
