Well you can lock it in and leave it then when you want to finish come back and unlock it.

nice. The colours look awesome even with the chocolatety onboard graphics and cheap monitor on my dads computer. Also the way the clouds have smeared because of the long exposure looks simply epasmic. What aperture setting did you use as not to overexpose?

i tried that average-identical-images-together-to-reduce-noise thing last night. it worked well apart from the fact that 10  images at 10% opacity layered on top of each other do not give 100% opacity. I'm using Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI which probably explains it.

EXIF data is all there on dA and flickr.
This shot was at f11. This was taken shortly after sunset so it was pretty dark but while there was still SOME light in the sky. after a while of shooting the sky just turned black.

Well the bottom most layer should be at 100% opacity.Try this way of doing it instead of 10% opacity. I am sure you can do it in Paint shop pro
